This week most shag, more shag than EX. Everyday drills for CO COC (Commanding Officer Change of Command) this Monday evening. Our present CO LTC Milton Ong, would be replaced by LTC Percival Goh. My current CO is a high flyer man, 21 Sept 04 came as new CO, 26 Sept 05 leaving.
Everyday around 8am draw arms, 9am start drills till around 1130. Then go for lunch back around 2pm to further drill till around 5 then dinner. During drills, so scorching hot, sleepy, wet, tired, numbness and achings. After UIP, life got much much muchhhh better. Got rank, beret, no need to march and sing, go for meals OTOT, basically the commanders would not be finding fault with you.
Last Monday was CO evening, also a farewell party for our current CO. We had buffet, standard stuff like fried bee hoon, mee, fried rice, chicken wings ... !!! OYSTERS, FRIED ICE CREAM, HANDMADE SUSHI BY A CHEF !!! wah this is new, guess they spent quite alot.
Almost everynight, we would be screening movies at the company's mess. Garrad brought alot of Stepehn Chow's movies. Most of his shows are damn cock man. Friday lots of sai gang to do, though commanders helped out, still last company to book out.
Most of the seniors clearing leave. WOndering whether to go Ravnica prerelease.
This morning set alarm at 7am, couldn't get up. Garrad called to confirm that i was going to prerelease at Suntec. Reached Suntec around 820, waited for Garrad. By the time we reached the place, there were quite a number of people there. First time joining such event. Garrad told me, that I would be competing with 4 people in the first round. OMG, playing with total strangers damn paiseh.
This is how it goes.
1) After registering, you are given your table number, sit there. 1 table got 6 players
2) After the jugdes verfied you are legal, they will give each player 1 pack of cards of 75 cards and another 2 packs of cards with 13 cards each.
3) After you opened them, you had to checked them on alist.
4) At the end, you form your deck and wait for the next round.
Initially formed a white-red deck, but finally chose a white-green.
My first opponent
We had almost identical deck man, can you believe our 1st round took 20mins, which even ended with a draw with library death. The second round, tried to be more offensive still the same. In the end, also draw. 1/2 (Draw)
Second opponent
I couldn't believe it man, I was against my army buddy Wilson, what a coincidence, buy 4d also not so heng. SO many people we can also be paired up. In the end I won him 2/3. (Win)
Third opponent
This guy looks damn pro man, played a Black, Green, White deck. Though the deck are new, he new the combo to play. 0/3. (lost)
Fourth opponent
Sec 5 boy, played a white- red deck. For 2 times, i wack him till he left 5 life remaining, i don't know how he manged to wipeout all my creatures and gained so much life. 1/3. (lost)
After this match, we both went to collect additional packs. Garrad, Siyan and Wilson decided to sign up the 2nd event, so I left and went beach road to sew my rank on my smartest 4 for parade. It was a rather new experience, playing with strangers on a fair deck, created on the spot. Well in camp, Garrad and Si Yan had much powerful deck that they spent building, possibility of winning them is pure luck.
